Group Disability Policies
Group Disability Policies are available for Short Term and Long Term Disability.
Short Term Disability (STD) — Short Term Disability provides a weekly income during the first part of a disability. Income can start immediately or after a specified elimination period. Benefits generally expire after 6, 13, or 26 weeks.
Long Term Disability (LTD) — Long Term Disability provides a monthly income if an employee is off work for an extended period of time. LTD payments do not begin until after the specified elimination period has been met. The elimination period generally ranges from three months to two years before disability income begins. These plans are often coordinated with a short term plan.
